We all know how important it is to stay fit and healthy, especially in the summer when we need to show off our beautiful beach bodies! There are so many fun and easy ways to work up a sweat that you don't even need to hit the gym hard to get that bikini bod! Try out some of these classes not only because they are fun, but because you'll get that extra motivation working with a group that you just can't get by yourself on the treadmill. With these fun workouts and great classes, you'll have so much fun you'll forget that you're working out.
1. Bar Class- For those of you that haven't heard, bar class is a great way to get a ballerina worthy body! Newly popular, look for them at specialty gyms.
2. Pole Dancing Class- The once scandalous pole dancing is now a trendy way to workout. Don't get the wrong impression! Pole dancing classes don't teach you the trashy moves performed in strip bars, but give you an incredible work out in a way that's tasteful, fun, and flirty.
3. Salsa Class- Everywhere that there is salsa dancing, there is an opportunity to learn! Most night clubs and restaurants start out their salsa nights with a lesson from a professional, so beginners and more experienced dancers can improve their moves. An added bonus is all the cute boys you will meet while rotating partners during the lesson, so you can show off your moves to your pick of the pack!
4. Yoga/Pilates- Find a local studio, head to your gym, or sign up for a very cheap session with your community- these great workout classes can be found all over the place.
5. Zumba- This is a workout you don't want to miss! Zumba will work up a sweat in
no time! These great moves combined with your favorite songs will have you coming back week after week!
6. Self-Defense- Not only does self-defense give you a great workout, it's an important skill to have as a woman. It's vital that we know how to protect ourselves ladies, not to mention the empowerment you will feel getting to kick your instructor and work out some extra frustration!
7. Workout Videos- Don't knock it 'till you try it ladies! Rent/Buy a cheesy 80's workout video and invite over your gal pals to wear your leg warmers and leotards together. Don't be embarrassed to laugh at yourselves and you will have a blast while tightening up those buns! Also check out

8. Cultural Dance Classes- Check out what your community has to offer. Your city will usually offer unique classes such as Hula or African dancing. Don't be afraid to try something totally new and out there; you never know what you will fall in love with.

active ladies! Whether it's as simple as walking through the park (or the mall!) or as action-packed as a kick boxing class at the gym, get off your butts and out of your routines and you will feel healthier and more energized everyday!
